Rootedness, belonging and life project: University organizational culture

This book analyzes the categories of belonging, sense of belonging, and life plan in the context of public higher education, exploring their meaning for faculty and their impact on the organizational culture oriented toward academic excellence and lifelong human development. The research was based on a qualitative, exploratory, descriptive, and cross sectional methodology, which allowed for the description of the possibilities and opportunities, as well as the barriers and limitations, of the work, social, and individual environments. The techniques employed were interviews and open-ended questionnaires with incomplete sentences, using a population triangulation composed of managers, faculty, and experts.

The conclusions highlight that organizational culture is shaped by the interaction of work dimensions, place of residence, the faculty member’s professional profile, and their personal well-being; this also extends to the family environment and romantic relationships. In this context, belonging and a sense of belonging emerge as key elements for both the academic context and the city, facilitating the development of a life plan in the short, medium, and long term. Thus, this research provides a comprehensive look at how these factors contribute to strengthening identity and commitment in higher education.

El coloquio por primera vez también abrió un espacio especialmente participativo para agricultores, niños y jóvenes, reconociendo que la transformación agraria sostenible requiere de la inclusión activa de las nuevas generaciones y de quienes viven cotidianamente la producción en el campo. De gran connotación fue el Conversatorio del Dr. Álvaro Acevedo Osorio quien se refirió a los avances del Movimiento Agroecológico Colombiano, retos y perspectivas con especial referencia a la política pública sobre agroecología aprobada para Colombia. El taller permitió compartir experiencias de huertas escolares, proyectos comunitarios y actividades pedagógicas que vinculan la agroecología con la educación inicial y la formación ciudadana. Estos ejercicios prácticos fortalecen la conciencia ambiental y el sentido de pertenencia hacia los territorios, sembrando las bases de una cultura agroecológica que trasciende lo académico y se proyecta hacia la vida cotidiana de las comunidades.

Este libro de memorias más que un registro documental es una invitación a continuar el diálogo, la investigación y la acción transformadora. La agroecología, como se evidencia en estas páginas, no es únicamente una alternativa técnica, sino una propuesta ética y política para construir sociedades más justas, resilientes y en armonía con la naturaleza. El libro recoge todo ese espíritu de rigurosidad de la investigación, la fuerza de las comunidades y la esperanza de las nuevas generaciones. La cebolla Ocañera es un producto que goza de reconocimiento regional y nacional que, de una manera, ha logrado una identificación específica, por parte del consumidor. Esta reputación especial ha sido derivada esencialmente de su origen geográfico, así como por sus características de sabor, olor y color concentrados que no se identifican en ninguna otra variedad de cebolla. Este producto hortofrutícola está dirigido para el consumo en fresco y en vinagre, principalmente, existiendo otras variedades de cebolla que han aprovechado esta identidad de cebollitas ocañeras para lograr un nicho en el mercado nacional.

En la actualidad, la competitividad de los mercados obliga a diferenciar los productos, por lo que el interés del presente libro, es demostrar que la cebolla Ocañera, es un producto que tiene una vinculación directa con su origen, considerando los resultados prácticos, verificables y documentados a lo largo de cinco años de lecciones de investigación obtenidas. Para ello se ha realizado búsqueda y análisis de documentos y estudios de casos en este ámbito, así como los diferentes mecanismos que existen para proteger y fomentar nuevos productos con indicaciones geográficas, cuya finalidad es justamente distinguir el origen de un producto y su vínculo con características determinadas y, cuya reputación se atribuya a su origen, siendo ejemplos a seguir productos como el champagne (Francia), tequila y mezcal (México), café de Colombia (Colombia), que para el caso de la cebolla Ocañera, no está legalmente registrada, pero es utilizada simbólicamente con fines comerciales.

This study offers a comprehensive reflection on transitional justice, ranging from a historical genealogy to theoretical and constitutional contributions. Transitional justice is defined as a set of judicial and extrajudicial mechanisms aimed at reconciliation and peace following mass human rights violations. The first chapter traces its roots from Antiquity through the nineteenth century, demonstrating how it has evolved according to each context. The second chapter details its four pillars: access to justice, truth, reparation, and guarantees of non-recurrence. The third chapter applies field theory to the study of transitional justice, treating it as a legal field and broadening its focus to include social, economic, and cultural rights. The fourth chapter revisits its immediate objectives (recognition and citizenship) and ultimate goals (reconciliation and democratization) in the effort to build a theory of transitional justice. The fifth chapter incorporates constitutional guarantism—as both a positive and negative limit on power—and the rigidity of the Constitution as a safeguard of fundamental rights, contributing to the strengthening of a theory of transitional justice. Finally, the work underscores the need to interpret these instruments socially, in light of their potential to build democratic societies at peace.

The incorporation of a gender perspective into the Colombian judicial and healthcare systems constitutes one of the most significant advances in the pursuit of a more equitable and inclusive society. This approach recognizes that gender-based power relations generate inequalities that affect people's lives, especially those who have historically been discriminated against, such as women, non-binary individuals, and other vulnerable groups. However, although significant regulatory progress has been made, there is still a long way to go, especially in the cultural transformation necessary for this perspective to be effective in the legal context and in the healthcare system.

Throughout this book, the study of women as central subjects is prioritized, both in the judicial procedural sphere—evaluation of evidence, loss of employment capacity, legal capacity, and protection against domestic violence—and in the healthcare system—right to health and obstetric violence. Our purpose is to make their experiences visible, quantify and qualify the barriers they face, and propose protocols and regulatory recommendations that guarantee their effective access to justice and dignified healthcare.

At the regulatory level, Colombia has taken significant steps toward integrating a gender perspective.

This dissemination of music through bands has, in some way, achieved the condensation of society around musical bands; promoting, consolidating, and intensifying the construction of cutting-edge culture in the regions. The recognition and legitimation of new generations and the way in which the legacy left by the great promoters of music in our country is understood and felt will depend largely on this movement.

Furthermore, it is necessary to emphasize that the fundamental purpose of this section is to highlight the intangible value that "wind bands" have provided as a construct that underpins social cohesion. It is to accept this as a social event, triggered within a specific human group, which may present certain conditions and characteristics that are different from traditional cultures in their development and transformation.

This book synthesizes and organizes information related to the trails and paths of the southern province of Pamplona and offers useful elements for defining a study itinerary, enabling us to gain an understanding of geomorphological and geological phenomena, and the geological evolution inherent to the processes that formed them. It contains current information on the current state of geological knowledge in the sector, organized through concise geological descriptions, illustrative diagrams, and conceptual and location maps.

This book also includes previously unpublished photographic material and, in some cases, photogrammetric or geodetic products obtained through the survey of sections using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). It also provides the reader with an insight into some of the cultural, historical, social, and economic processes of the builders and users of these provincial roads.

It is in this spirit of harmonizing science and the joy of landscapes and heritage that the Paths and Trails series emerged, of which we now present the first itinerary. Classroom research experiences in formal education

The purpose of this study is to introduce a teaching strategy using cuadernia to improve spatial location skills in students aged 9 to 12 years. This is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design, where a pretest was conducted before the intervention and a posttest after the application of the ICT resource was used, along with two technological surveys. The intervention was carried out with fifth-grade students from the Nuestra Señora de la Merced Educational Institution, in Mutiscua, Norte de Santander.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person classes were suspended, which forced us to adapt the strategy for those students who had Access to a PC or Tablet at home. The data was obtained from real situations and was analyzed objectively. The results showed that, after the implementation of cuadernia, the students significantly improved their spatial location skills, confirming the effectiveness of this technological tool for strengthening said competence.

When one is nurtured by the beauties of Horace and Virgil, of León, Garcilaso, and Lope, who could wrest this serene beauty from one's heart? This isn't a servile copy of themes, development, or turns of phrase, nor is it a stretched or stilted elaboration. What the author intended was to embrace the one true classicism, which has as its norm the balance of thought, feeling, and imagination; simplicity combined with elegance; and care in the choice and placement of words, to produce effects of musicality and grace.

This book presents a comprehensive music research project led by the author in collaboration with the Music, Education, Culture, and Society Research Team of Pamplona University, as well as the Linguartic and Servipúblico Research Teams of the District University Francisco José de Caldas. The study seeks into the traditional Andean Colombian musical styles of danza, intermezzo, pasillo, and bambuco, examining their distinctive musical and aesthetic characteristics through an indepth analysis of selected works by prominent 20th-century and modern Colombian composers from the Andean region.

These composers include Luis Antonio Calvo, Sebastián Solari, Luis Uribe Bueno, Jaime Romero, Luis Carlos Saboya, León Cardona, José Revelo Burbano, and Gentil Montaña, each contributing significantly to the development of Colombian music. The analyzed repertoire includes Adiós a Bogotá (danza), Intermezzo No. 1 (intermezzo), pasillos such as Río Cali, El cucarrón, Bandolita, La fantasía del escribano, and ¡Despasillo por favor!, along with bambucos such as Bambuquísimo, Fantasía en 6/8, and El tolimense. In the postmodern era, it is essential that professional musicians receive comprehensive training that is relevant to a constantly evolving society. This means that training to become a professional should not be limited solely to the technical mastery of a musical instrument. Instead, music as an activity should be approached holistically. In this context, it is essential that music educators acquire the skills, abilities, and competencies necessary to understand both the learning and teaching processes of music in diverse social contexts.

To achieve this, it is possible to leverage Reuven Feuerstein's theory of Structural Cognitive Modifiability (SCM), used in conjunction with music teaching methods such as the Orff-Schulwerk approach, the Zoltan Kodaly approach, the Dalcroze method, and Edgar Willems' proposal. These teaching approaches can help music professionals be effective in teaching situations that arise in their environments and, at the same time, contribute to the preservation of the cultural richness of music through their artistic practices.

Law and Systems Engineering come together to analyze the experimental situation of expert witnesses in criminal and family law trials from the perspective of computer forensics, as an evidentiary technique discussed in courtrooms. Evidence always has a source, production, or practice regulated by law, and in turn, leads the judge to conclude that facts, conduct, or claims exist for the proper and effective administration of justice.

Legal scholars—in this case, criminal and family law—and computer science experts observe that in certain legal disputes, the assistance of an expert specialized in ICT, cybernetics, or virtuality, social media, WhatsApp, electronic signatures, and, in general, everything that requires a computer professional to provide evidence in a judicial process is required.

This book addresses the cultural and historical diversity and socio-cultural challenges of the indigenous reservation of Belalcázar, located in the municipality of Páez, Cauca. It examines how the interaction between indigenous, Afro- Colombian and mestizo communities has influenced the cultural identity and conservation of the ancestral territory. The main objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the law, history, cultural diversity and contemporary issues facing the indigenous resguardo of Belalcázar. Through the analysis of its Plan de Vida and other key documents, it seeks to understand the socio cultural dynamics of the territory in order to preserve its cultural identity.

The book reveals that the coexistence between indigenous, Afro-Colombian and mestizo peoples has generated considerable cultural erosion, evidenced by the decrease in the use of the ancestral language and the loss of the richness of natural resources, such as water. In addition, it describes the geographical and ecological wealth of the resguardo, taking a tour of its climate, landscapes, history and culture, and highlights how these factors shape the sociocultural identity of the region.

In conclusion, the analysis presented in this book shows that, despite efforts to preserve cultural identity and territorial rights, communities continue to face significant challenges due to the influence of other cultures and external pressures. It underscores the urgent need to strengthen the protection of natural and cultural resources, as well as the importance of adopting an inclusive vision to address the resguardo’s current challenges and ensure its sustainability in the future.

Microstrip antennas were researched and developed in the 1970s. With advances in microelectronics, they have gained significant relevance in new emerging technologies, such as mobile phones, Bluetooth radio devices, IoT, and Wi-Fi. They are used in applications such as satellite communications, radio communications, telemetry, mobile communications, and radar systems.

They are constructed of a plate of conductive material that can be rectangular, circular, or elliptical, placed on a dielectric substrate and a ground plane on the other side of the dielectric with a conductive material such as copper. These antennas are fed through a coaxial conductor or a microstrip line. The impedance matching of the antenna and the feed line to the radiating plate can be affected depending on the feed point, which can generate changes in the antenna’s radiation.

The research delves into the design, analysis, and construction condensed into four chapters: the first uses theoretical references; the second delves into the fundamentals of the electric dipole; the third details the structure and components; and finally, the design methodology and parameters are established with a practical approach.

In this research work, the authors identified cannabis sativa as the source of investment projects aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the alternative, healthy, and competitive food sector. The work was carried out in Villa del Rosario, department of Norte de Santander, Colombia. To achieve the proposed objectives, the research identified the unmet regional need for work, proposing the Logical Framework Methodology as a tool to plan, execute, and evaluate cannabis sativa as a source of food and employment. The problem, its causes and effects, the stakeholders and their influence, the objectives, their means and ends to achieve it, the logical framework matrix, the associated risks, and the financial feasibility study of the project were all worked on. A preliminary business design was proposed, and a simulation of the process was developed.

The experience of generating stories about women does not seem to be an object of research that is developed with great interest or frequency, because it seems to entail meanings that alter certain established paradigms. Those that have dominated women through exercises of power, segregation, marginalization, domination, control, submission, and dependence. Realities that are reflected as part of the status quo and that, until now, seem to be considered a "sujets honteux."

In this sense, a book dedicated to the women of Santo Domingo de Silos refers to the scant or nonexistent honor accorded them. Therefore, it is considered that they deserve recognition as part of a social issue that needs to be understood and interpreted through the telling of their life stories. Telling stories is about encountering consciousness to give meaning to some image. Women have not been considered historical subjects by historiographical science until relatively recent times; consequently, they have not been objects of knowledge worthy of mention.

Esto hace que nuestros ritmos andinos posean una variedad de elementos rítmicos, melódicos y armónicos que en primera instancia los diferencian y caracterizan uno del otro. La gama y muestra de sonoridades son tan amplias, que no podemos hablar del “Bambuco” si no de los bambucos, del “Pasillo” si no de los pasillos, inclusive en ritmos más raizales y campesinos como el sanjuanito, la guabina, el torbellino, la rumba criolla, entre otros, de acuerdo con la región donde sean interpretados tienen un acento y una forma diferente; esto sumado a la transformación natural generacional de ellos, sumado a las influencias de otros aires inclusive foráneos.

Norte de Santander, marca una pauta musical particular y singular, digna de analizar tanto territorial como generacionalmente, en donde se traza una línea divisoria entre nuestra música andina colombiana y el extenso quehacer musical de Venezuela y todas las influencias por su cercanía. Los compositores referenciados en este interesante y valioso documento musical, no fueron ni han sido ajenos a información musical tanto en partituras, grabaciones de la época como intercambios culturales con nuestro vecino país.

Rozo Contreras es muy conocido por su invaluable aporte al desarrollo de las bandas y a la formación de directores para este formato musical, además del gran número de composiciones propias y de versiones de otros autores de diferentes regiones de Colombia que han enriquecido el repertorio bandístico.

Pienso que esta publicación es fundamental y sería de vital importancia que sea permanentemente consultado en todas las aulas de formación de cantantes, no solo en Colombia sino a nivel global, y que permite la mayor difusión de este género vocal que tiene pocos representantes en nuestro territorio. The publishing history of Pamplona, Norte de Santander, has been forged by religion, judicial documents, literary works, and journalistic records, which in turn constructed the memory of a town of great historical, geographical, and educational importance.

This book seeks to bring together the origin, transformation, and current state of the publishing processes that not only shaped the memory of Pamplona, but also, alongside writing, contributed to the economic activity of several families, fostering typography, lithographs, and the introduction of new printing methods based on technological advances. The research focused on consulting documentary sources, historical archives, and searching for key figures who, through oral accounts, allowed the team to establish a timeline, also integrating the preponderant role of the University of Pamplona from its beginnings to the present, with the Publishing, Publications, and Educational Media Unit and, now, the Publishing House. It is also a tribute to the city that, as mentioned in its review, is the epicenter of publishing production in Norte de Santander.

POLYCROPS: Successful associative crops in three municipalities of Boyacá

The research project “Implementation of associative agricultural models with traditional polycultures for economic and environmental management in the department of Boyacá” was aimed at the development of cultural and agronomic practices based on the association of transitory species, benefiting 12 producer families with an agricultural vocation in 12 municipalities, through field pilot tests which were based on the creation and design of associative models that promoted agricultural production under environmentally sustainable parameters.

The objective of this publication is to publicize the result of the technical, economic and social validation of nine associative models in the municipalities: Soatá, Belén and Panqueba. The research was carried out applying a qualitative and quantitative experimental methodology, with a completely randomized design in two factors: the first factor corresponds to polyculture with three levels (three types of associative models in each municipality) and the second factor that concerns the monoculture plot (control), with four farms for each model that were the repetitions; for a total of 12 farms per municipality.

Nature tourism as a driver of sustainable development in the province of Pamplona, Norte de Santander

The book Turismo de Naturaleza is an academic work produced by an interdisciplinary group of professors and researchers from the University of Pamplona. This work analyzes the impact of sustainable tourism in the province of Pamplona, with a special focus on Pamplona as the municipal center and Santo Domingo de Silos as a particular case within the region. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the book proposes strategies to utilize nature tourism as a tool for economic, social, and environmental development.

It is structured into five chapters. The first chapter establishes a conceptual foundation by conducting a bibliographic review that outlines the main definitions and classifications of tourism, providing a theoretical framework for subsequent analysis. The second chapter examines theories of economic development from a historical and conceptual perspective to understand their relationship with tourism as a catalyst for economic, social, and environmental dynamics in specific regions.

The third chapter explores the functioning of the tourism cluster in the municipality of Pamplona, analyzing the interaction among the actors involved and evaluating their impact on regional economic development. The fourth chapter takes a strategic approach, identifying specific opportunities offered by nature tourism and proposing guidelines that integrate social and economic policies. This analysis highlights tourism's role as a driver of local development, focusing on the sustainable management of tourist, natural, and human resources. Lastly, the fifth chapter presents a proposal for tourism development in the municipality of Santo Domingo de Silos, exemplifying the application of the proposed guidelines in a specific context.

Legal Analysis of the Violation of the Principle of Objective Selection in Public Consulting Contracts of Minimal Amount

State contracting in Colombia is a fundamental tool for the state to fulfill its objectives and guarantee the protection of citizens' rights. This study analyzes the infringement of the principle of objective selection of consulting contracts under the modality of minimum quantity selection where the criterion of lowest price prevails over other factors such as experience and technical capacity.

The principles governing state contracting will be examined, with transparency, economy, responsibility and objective selection as in line with article 209 of the Political Constitution. The analysis focuses on the normative and practical conflicts that arise when applying the selection criteria in this modality as especially found with other forms of contracting such as the merit-based competition.

The study concludes that selection based exclusively on the lowest price may violate the principle of objective selection and compromise the choice of proposals that truly satisfy collective interests. This critical analysis provides legal recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness of contracting processes and ensure compliance with the constitutional and regulatory principles that guide the administrative function in Colombia.

The Central Cemetery of Cúcuta. In-memoriam, recognitions and merits

The main objective of the work is to recognize, value, recover and make visible the material and intangible cultural heritage of Cúcuta, represented in the city’s Central Cemetery. The hermeneutic methodological structure, with a mixed approach, documentary in character complemented by field work, deductive and inductive approaches, quantitative and qualitative, enabled the generation of theoretical bases for cultural management and the elaboration of contextual diagnosis with their respective general historical background of the city, and the formal, aesthetic and symbolic graphic consolidation of the works present in the Cemetery, as well as findings that highlight its historical, urban and cultural value. The results contribute to the appropriation of knowledge associated with the rediscovery of the funerary heritage of Cúcuta, historical-symbolic recognition of the socio-cultural, urbanistic, architectural and artistic manifestations of the Central Cemetery of the city as an archive and individual and collective cultural memory of its inhabitants. They can also serve as support to strengthen the role of the cemetery in cultural management and regional development.

Productive characterization and socioeconomic of the sector rural of the province of Pamplona

Pamplona is one of the 40 municipalities of the department of Norte de Santander and belongs to the south-western region of the Department, along with other municipalities such as Pamplonita, Chitagá, Silos, Cácota and Mutiscua. Pamplona's economy is based on agricultural production and manufacturing, is recognized for its religiosity and its celebration of Holy Week, which led it to be declared cultural heritage intangible heritage of the Nation in 2013. It has museums that house works of religious art and colonial painting. Due to its characteristics, there is interest in investigating the agricultural productive potential of Pamplona through the socioeconomic characterization of the municipality and the development conditions in rural areas with the objective of identifying strengths and weaknesses to propose sustainable solutions that promote economic growth and regional development. The research was of a descriptive type in which a compilation was made of information from primary and secondary sources. They analyzed the technical conditions used by farmers, level and quality of life among people in rural areas and the use of natural resources that provide relevant information for execution of public policies.
